Today we celebrate Bonfire Night, a typical British tradition. Do you know who Guy Fawkes was and what he is famous for? Said quickly, Guy Fawkes tried blow up the Houses of Parliament in London back in the year 1605 and since then that day is celebrated by lighting up bonfires.

This week we are celebrating carnival in our islands. The most popular carnivals in Gran Canaria are celebrated in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and in San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
But have you ever heard of Notting Hill Carnival? Notting Hill is an area of London famous for its carnival, but it really became known to the world thanks to the film Notting Hill. The most curious thing of this carnival is when it is celebrated, the last weekend of August. Those days, Notting Hill streets are full of colour, music, food and people.
