December 26th is a public holiday in Great Britain, Australia, Canada and other Commonwealth Countries. But have you ever heard of “Boxing Day”. Traditionally, it was a day where people opened the box that contained things for the poor. Nowadays, this day has become a “shopping holiday” for the sales. The sales in London are very, very famous and they start on Boxing Day at midnight. Oxford Street and Regent Street are very popular shopping places in London, among others. During the sales you can see huge queues of people eager to buy bargains.
