Next Friday we celebrate Father’s Day in Spain. Today, Mother’s Day is celebrated in Ireland and in the UK. In these two countries Mothering Sunday is celebrated 3 Sundays before the Easter Sunday. In Spain, we celebrate it the first Sunday of May, whereas in the USA it is celebrated a week later, i.e., the second Sunday of May.

If you want to know more about this festival, you can read the Wikipedia. If you want ideas on how to celebrate this day or if you want to prepare a present for your mum, you can check the site  Kaboose or Mother’s Day on the Net, where you can also find out more things about this celebration.

How do you celebrate Mother’s Day in your family? I usually have lunch with my mother and grandmother. It is a tradition we  never miss. Tell us how you celebrate it in the comments section. Thanks for your contribution in advance.

To finish this post, I just want to leave you with the cartoon that appears today in The English Blog. Very funny indeed.
