Today we are presenting a new entry written by a guest writer, Ola Zur. I hope you enjoy it:

Dictionaries are very important tools in learning English. They can help you learn the meaning, pronunciation and different forms of any new word.

However, it is very important to use a dictionary at your own level. If you use one that is too advanced, you just might find yourself confused! So at the beginning, use good simple dictionary.

The web offers many free dictionaries, but not all of them are appropriate for beginners. Here are two dictionaries that show a simple version of full and advanced dictionaries:

Cambridge Learner’s Dictionary – this is a simple dictionary. It is fast and easy to use.

Merriam-Webster Word Central – this one is quite simple as well. It might have some more data.
