Cork (Corcaigh) is situated in the south west of Ireland and it is the second most important city in the country after Dublin.

Cork’s most famous building could be the Church Tower of Shandon, which dominates the north side of the city. It has four clocks, each one has a different time. Many visitors can not resist to touch the bells, “the sound of the city in melodies”.

Cork city is the heart of industry, big companies, its main area of industry is pharmaceuticals, with Pfizer Inc. Cork is also the European headquarters of Apple Inc. where over 3,000 staff are working.

The city is also home to the Heineken Brewery that brews Murphy’s Irish Stout.

Many people now is working in the many I.T. centres of the city such as, the online retailer, which has set up in Cork Airport Business Park.
