Today I would like to invite you to visit ELLA (English Language Lab Asturias), a site created by several teachers of Asturias and especially designed for EOI students.
In this site you can find different units of work organised into three levels (elementary, intermediate and advanced). Each unit contains activities related to all skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening). I would highlight the video activities, where you have to answer some questions after watching a video.
Summarising, to get started, you only have to click the link above to go to ELLA, select your level, and select a topic to start practising. All activities can be done online and it also allows downloading of materials for teachers.

I have done the activitie of “The Thumb Generation” and I think that it’s a good way to improve my writing because while i was doing it, I though that I had done the questions well, but then, I realised that I had done some mistakes. I would try to do some more activities to practise.

I don´t known if I have done it well, but I have been learning things about April Fool´s Day. I did a test: True o False. Then I visited more pages about this topic because it was interesting and I had to continue visiting other pages. I wanted to know more about this. I didn´t known that this day existed, it is similar to Innocent`s Day. This day is celebrated in many countries. It was surprising because some writers wanted to restaure it as New Year Day. I would like that my classmatte read this information. Personality, I like it very much although I didn´t find these exercises about level.

I have just done an activity called “Can you identify the correct sport?”, it seems to be easy, but it’s a listening activity. I think activities like this can help me a lot because I need to practise specially listenings, so I will do them in this page, as long as it will be possible.

I have just done the activity called “The thumb generation” that consists in a video which speaks about phones 4 kids, it was interesting and useful at the same time. It’s a good way to practise, we are paying atention to what the video says and to the pronuntiation. I really liked it.

I have just finished Ella´s activities such as:
“You are what you eat” in this didactic unit there are some interesting listening activities related to the reasons why people become verggies and the different vegetarians diets according to a nutrition expert. Besides, I have taken a look at the unit called “And the winner is…” where you can read about the history of the Academy Awards and watch the trailer of the movie “Queen”. Finally, I have read a report about “Global warming”. I think that Ella´s page is a very modern and pedagogical support to work on the English language. It is amazing the great amount of links that it has.

I have been taking a look at “The thumb generation” (like other students). I think that is a good activity, because we can practise listening and at the end we can check the transcription. This is especially useful for those who have hard ears, like me, ha,ha … See you later!

I did the activity called the “the thumb generation”, which was really interesting. In my opinion, these kinds of activities are very useful, because you practice vocabulary, listening, writing… for example, the video was easy to understand, besides, when I finished to see it, there were activities about it. So I think this site is a good way to improve my English skills.

I’ve done “Walking on the moon”! It was fantastic, but the test was not as great as the video. I had only a 70%. Well, but the webpage is really interesting. I’ll be there more time! It’s useful!
